CELEBRITY The 2010 Emmys

Red carpet clothes at formal awards shows is a bit tricky, but here are some highlights from this year's Emmy wear:

Claire Danes looked fabulous.

Kyra Sedgewick's ensemble was unusual, but it worked. She looks great. Loved the ring and the purse, but the left arm is over-accessorized.

Lisa-Edelstein looks lovely, but the dress didn't need the white train and she should make the most of all that curly hair and let it out

Julia Louis-Dreyfus looked great. The dress is very elegant. However, a nice bracelet would have been a great finishing touch. It wasn't needed, but it would have been nice.

Lauren Graham looks lovely, but the left arm is over accessorized and the top of the dress reminds me of a British cloth "nappy" (diaper). Her stylist did not make the most of her looks.

Film Review - Star Trek

Star Trek is the 2009 reboot of the long running science fiction franchise, which began as a television show, occasionally making leaps onto the big screen. This installment of the movie gave viewers the opportunity to see a young Captain Kirk and Spock. It did fairly well at the box office, becoming the highest grossing Star Trek film to date.

The special efx in this film were good and that caught audiences' attention. However, the script was average and the sensuality in it unnecessary, considering the wide demographic, which includes kids.

"Leap Year" is a romantic comedy, starring Amy Adams as Anna, a Bostonian property stager and Matthew Goode, as Declan, a strong Irish lad, running an Inn in Ireland. Anna travels from America to Ireland, to propose to her doctor boyfriend, who is away on business.

She does so, because she sees a tidbit leading her to believe, this is an acceptable custom in Ireland on leap years. She experiences a number of setbacks, enlisting Declan, who laughs at her often, due to this mission, to guide her through his homeland. Along the way they fall in love.

This was an entertaining film. It had its humorous moments. However, the Celluloid Film Review, can't help but think most women would rather be proposed to, than having to take the initiative. Premarital sex doesn't exactly help with getting a proposal either, as a man will believe the old adage, "Why buy the cow, when you can get the milk for free."

"Diary Of A Wimpy Kid" is an amusing film about a enthusiastic preteen, Gregory, that is nervous about going to middle school. His best friend, Rowley, deemed more nerdy than he, through a series of funny events, becomes more popular, which drives him crazy. He spends the rest of his time trying to outdo everyone and makes many enemies in the process. This was a fairly safe film for kids, give or take a few items, which did not set the best example. The gross-out factor in this movie was also not pleasant.

Christian Charity Vows To Remain In Afghanistan In Spite Of Murders

The Christian charity, International Assistance Mission, has vowed to remain in Afghanistan, after the vicious murders of several of their workers, by the Taliban terrorist group, who claimed it was due to them preaching Christianity.

A British doctor, six Americans, one German and two people from Afghanistan, were murdered by the Taliban, for being Christian, when all they were doing is delivering crucial medical supplies to impoverished pregnant women in the region.

The murders were acts of cowardice against unarmed charity workers trying to help those in need. If the Taliban thinks it endears them to the world they are sorely mistaken.

Despite What Obama Says U.S. Not Out Of Iraq

According to an interesting RT television interview conducted recently, the assertions of U.S. President Barack Obama, that he has withdrawn that nation's troops from Iraq, is simply not true.

50,000 U.S. troops will remain in Iraq. The alleged "withdrawal" is actually a political move, semantically carrying a "name change." However, there is still active combat in the region, in spite of the President's spin on the story.

This means, troops and civilians are still in danger, as the death toll continues to mount. The financial toll is mounting as well, on an already battered U.S. economy. The deficit is higher than Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan combined.

Obama To Address The Nation

America's First Family, the Obamas, return to the White House, from summer vacation in Martha's Vineyard, well rested and tanned. Well, actually, they were tanned before they left.

After spending 10 days luxuriating in Martha's Vineyard on the taxpayers' dime, golf and doing not much else, during a financial depression might I add, U.S. President Barack Obama, has returned to Washington, D.C.

The President is preparing to give a speech, regarding the ill-fated Iraq war, initiated by former President Bush. Ironically, in a move that can only hurt his credibility, Obama called President Bush for advice. Well, it certainly wasn't for spelling advice.

What people want to know is, when will the costly wars in the Middle East end? Where can we find jobs? How can we save our homes? How will our children go to university? Why is the deficit so high, with each citizen's tab currently at $44,000.

ACLU Sues Obama Over Assassination List

It was announced today, the ACLU has sued the Obama Administration, over the extrajudicial Assassination List they have created, in willful violation of U.S. and international law. The Judiciary Report wrote about the list last week (click here). The Administration's death list is barbaric, cowardly and has permanently damaged Obama's legacy.

The Obama Administration has become corrupt. There is no way around this fact. Certain individuals at the FBI, CIA and the Pentagon got their hooks into Obama and it has been one crooked decision after another, that has hurt, not helped America.

Obama is a grown man and knows right from wrong. Why he consents and goes along with this corrupt agenda, speaks to his lack of integrity and moral fiber. He is walking along the same disastrous path former President, George W. Bush, did and it is going to end in the collapse of the United States of America.

Any head of state that decides he and his cabinet and their affiliated agencies, are above the law, have sovereign immunity, regardless of how egregious their conduct becomes and can suspend the statutes of the nation, is headed for complete and utter failure, with a side order of self-destruction.

The room's once stately vibe, is now somewhat dowdy, which will not convey the correct message to domestic and international visitors. It is now too informal, personalized and bland. It looks like someone's living room.

Obama contends taxpayer money was not used to redecorate the Oval Office, but was taken from his campaign funds. However, taxpayers contributed to said fund and the money contained therein, could have gone to something better.

Socialite Paris Hilton, who was arrested last week for cocaine possession, has thanked her "fans" (see: imaginary friends) via Twitter, for all their love and support, during her current self-induced criminal case crisis.

With the way Radar Online is writing, Paris, you're about to get all the love and support you need...in prison...probably from some chick name Joe, which she shortened from Josephina, after the sex change.

Radar Online stated, they have spoken to legal experts that believe, Hilton is headed for prison, as the D.A. has a high, pardon the pun, success rate in prosecuting such cases. He is also up for reelection and will not want to be seen giving special treatment, to a slacker star that repeatedly breaks the law.

Maybe promiscuous Paris should get fitted for a chastity belt, just in case she goes to prison. By the way, are there chastity belts on commissary lists.
